HIB Grades: District Harassment Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) Grades are completed each school year. The Self-Assessment Grades and Statement of Assurance are provided to the MEPS Community in the link below. The Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is required by state law to grade each public school and school district’s efforts to implement the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) (N.J.S.A.18A:17-46). Each school is required to evaluate its implementation of the ABR from July 1 through June 30 by using the HIB Self-Assessment. The Self-Assessment tool includes eight core elements that address all of the ABR requirements for schools.
